DATEX (specification for DATa EXchange traffic and travel information centres) är en europeisk standard för utbyte av trafikinformation mellan olika aktörer. Sen 2002 har Trafikverket använt den europeiska de facto standarden DATEX (DATEX I) för informationsutbyte.
Idag använder Trafikverket DATEX II som är också en europeisk standard utvecklad inom EU med ombud från regionala projekt eller länder.
DATEX II bygger på modern teknik med en omfattande datamodell med bra struktur och detaljerat innehåll.
Tanken och nyttan med att använda DATEX II är att det är en ny förbättrad standard som är tekniskt bättre med en genomarbetad och harmoniserad datamodell samt att det bygger på en ny teknik.

Syftet med denna sida är att på ett enkelt sätt få information för detta område. All dokumentation och information finns här och är tillgängligt för nedladdning. Denna sida är skapad som en Wiki vilket gör det möjligt för registrerade medlemmar att bidra med information och personliga erfarenheter.
För att bli medlem måste ett konto skapas. Detta medlemskap är inte bundet till en prenumeration av trafikinformation. För detta finns andra rutiner, se dokumentet other routines. Man behöver inte bli medlem för att kunna ladda ner information och ta del av informationen runt DATEX II.
Starta med DATEX II
För att komma igång med DATEX II så rekommenderas att läsa dokumentet
Datex II Specification. Detta dokument ger dig en kort sammanfattning med syftet av DATEX II och hur man kan få trafikinformation levererad från Trafikverket. För att göra implementationen så enkel som möjligt för dig som Service Provider så finns en sida där man kan ladda ner
exempel, dokumentation, data dictionary, xml schema etc. Vi har även utvecklat kodexempel som är enkla att implementera (för Windows XP/2003 Server).
Du kan själv verifiera att Trafikverket kan leverera trafikinformation genom att använda vår testsida. Med användning av ett webb interface kan du initiera en fråga och få det resulterade svaret. Vi ger dig en lista över de vanligaste felmeddelanden och deras lösning för att hjälpa dig att få en fungerande konfiguration.

The site are created as a Wiki which make it possible for registered members to contribute with information and personal experience. That are also possible to discuss a sites contents.

Start with DATEX II
To get started with DATEX II we recommend you to read the document
Datex II Specification. This document will give you brief information of the purpose of DATEX II and how to get information delivered from Swedish National Road Administration.
To make the implementation as easy as possible for you as a Service Provider there is a page where you can
download sample, documentation, data dictionary, tables etc. We have developed code examples which are easy to implement (for Windows XP/2003 Server).
You can verify by yourself that the Swedish Road Administration can deliver traffic information by using our test site. Using a web interface you can initialize a question and get the resulting output. We will provide you with a list of the most common error messages and their solution to help you get a working configuration.
